Looking for several hotel and finally I decided to stay here due to the quality of interior and the size of the room unit. After 5 hours drive from airport because of the heavy snow in Iwamizawa, we arrived almost at 5 o’clock in the afternoon after dark, but the interior of lobby space gave me the feeling of nostalgia of European Christmas. Room unit is remodeled recently but the environment of typical floor shows OMO7 might be renamed from another brand before. The spa I have enjoyed was very good because of the condition of hot and chilled water and sauna even though the facility was quite old. Especially I’d like to give best point to the dining of breakfast because of the quality of the served foods and the environment of the dining space.

This is a lovely warm hotel with characters. I think the hotel may have been refurbished from an old hotel/building before it became Hoshino's hotel as you can see some parts of the building and some features in the room is quite old fashioned and outdated. Nevertheless, it was tidy and clean and functions perfectly. Their staffs were all very friendly, they take the initiative to help out when my family wants to take a photo in the lobby, and without us asking, they made recommendations for restaurants nearby, which saved us time on researching on during the New Year time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who are visiting Asahikawa and would go back to stay there again in a heart beat.

Omo 7 is a super place that genuinely warrants an ace review. It has a real focus for skiers which is why we stayed there. There's a free "wax" station in reception so you can prep your skis or snowboard, there's a free bus - yes free although you have to reserve a seat - to take you to Kamui - one of the local ski areas. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The breakfast is stella - western and Japanese - and the hotel has a great bath/onsen, too. Ideal to soak away achey muscles after a hard day blasting about on piste. The rooms are comfortable and the big bonus - a night for two people was circa £100. So...SUPER value for money. There's nothing not to like. GO THERE.

Checking in was easy. The staff’s English was excellent, at the end of the stay I had misplaced the parking receipt from the beginning of the stay. The front desk staff physically walked out to the parking lot we used and called the parking company to let us out. She went above and beyond the customer courtesy I could have possibly asked for and let us out of the lot with no additional fees and was so polite even though it was clearly our mistake. The staff is amazing!

Hotel is in a decent location - about 1km walk from Asahikawa station. It is a quiet area too. Staff are friendly and helpful and they provide a lot of free amenities for guests too. Free corn tea in the afternoon and evenings and free coffee in the morning. Although we did not use the onsen, we noticed it was popular with many of the guests in the hotel. Hotel is a good base for anyone intending to rent a car and drive around in the area
