Restaurant/Places to Eat in OMO7 Asahikawa by Hoshino Resorts
Check-in was smooth and hassle-free even though it was mainly machine operated (so typing name to find reservation & scanning passport by ourselves) In the lobby they provided free drinks/snacks at different times. We saw at check-in welcome drinks & free ice cream, at dinner time there was free champagne & wine. There was free coffee throughout the day! There was also a big map of the city centre at the lobby where a staff member can recommend activities & restaurants to you Rooms were spacious, their design was clever to have made space under the bed for storing suitcase. Loved the little sofa area for hanging around before and after a day out They don’t provide amenities inside the room, you get to pick/take what you need in an area next to check-in. Selection included pyjamas, toothbrush, toothpaste, body sponge, cotton buds/pads and a small drawstring pouch. As for the Kids, they provided pyjamas, slippers, toothbrush & toothpaste. Breakfast Buffet was delicious with a variety of dishes to choose from, including Western & Japanese (such as Waffles w/ salmon, eggs, sausages, selection of pastries & drinks, tofu) and had daily specials (tuna wasabi rice)

Omo 7 is a super place that genuinely warrants an ace review. It has a real focus for skiers which is why we stayed there. There's a free "wax" station in reception so you can prep your skis or snowboard, there's a free bus - yes free although you have to reserve a seat - to take you to Kamui - one of the local ski areas. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The breakfast is stella - western and Japanese - and the hotel has a great bath/onsen, too. Ideal to soak away achey muscles after a hard day blasting about on piste. The rooms are comfortable and the big bonus - a night for two people was circa £100. So...SUPER value for money. There's nothing not to like. GO THERE.

There was a lot of love put into the details of the interior. Cute but elevated. Like a hostel but for adults with a lot of extra offers for example spa, breakfast and tours which we unfortunately didn’t have the time to take advantage of. Room was spacious enough, actually quite big for Japanese standards. It had a little area to sit and storage under the bed to maximise space.

Lovely staff. Very good facilities and easy to use. Free coffee in the morning. a selection ofitems useful for our stay. Great checkout protocol, more staff appeared with ipads as guests checked out so there was never a queue formed. My Japanese is poor so I was very grateful for the helpful and friendly English speakers on reception.

The night view was great even from the room. The lobby (and the lounge) was nice and cosy. The bar (at top floor) was also excellent, although the drink provided there was a little limited. The breakfast allows you to make your own waffles, either savory or sweet. I liked the smoked salmon and the rucola.
